HSMA-N celebrates its second anniversary with a successful 2-day Sales Retreat at Chitlang Resort, uniting over 60 representatives from leading hotels and resorts nationwide.
Chitlang – The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association of Nepal (HSMA-N) successfully celebrated its second anniversary in a grand fashion. The event, a “Sales Retreat Program” lasting one night and two days, began on Friday evening at Chitlang Resort. The program marked not only the second anniversary but also the association’s fifth significant event, concluding with great enthusiasm.
Over 60 key representatives from the sales and marketing departments of major hotels across Nepal participated in the event, including those from major cities like: Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, and Bhairahawa.
In an event organized to promote the development and collaboration in the hospitality industry, representatives from the sales and marketing departments of Paradise Inn, Hotel Yak and Yeti, The Everest Hotel, Holiday Inn Express, Tiger Tops, Hotel Namaskar, Best Western Plus, and the KGH Group were in attendance.
Similarly, representatives from Pokhara, including those from Hotel Mount Kailash, Hotel Nivas, Majeri Resort and Spa, Hotel Sarowar, Moonlight Hotel, Kuti Resort, and Hotel Nirvana Bhairahawa, added to the event’s significance.
The program also saw participation from distinguished hotels such as Nepali Ghar Thamel, Hotel Travel Inn, Himalayan Villa Nagarkot, Hotel Ryne, Apex Business Hotel, Hotel Golden Temple Inn, along with Hotel Himalayan, Hotel Yellow Pagoda, Landmark Kathmandu, Hotel Arts Thamel, Atithi Resort and Spa, Pension Vasana Hotel, Basera Boutique Hotel, Jungle Villa Chitwan, Sukute Adventure Resort, River Bank Jungle Resort/Wyndham Garden Chitwan, Machan Wildlife Resort, and Hotel Murano Pokhara.
The event focused on the development and implementation of effective marketing, public relations, and communication strategies. There was a special emphasis on networking between new and existing members, sharing experiences, and discussing future collaboration opportunities.
Participants also had the opportunity to explore the historic Satdhara area, the archaeological Ashoka Stupa of Chitlang, and the popular tourist destination of Markhu Indrasarovar Lake on Saturday morning.
HSMAN, which has been playing a crucial role in promoting Nepal’s hotel industry and tourism sector, used the event to strengthen relationships, create an energetic atmosphere, and provide a platform for meaningful discussions among sales and marketing representatives.
The event was organized by a dedicated team led by Deepak Pokhrel from Paradise Inn, Pradeep Poudel from Hotel Yellow Pagoda, Sanjiv Tuladhar from KGH Group, Ramesh Pathak from Landmark Kathmandu, Rabinson Maharjan from Hotel Yak & Yeti, and Laxmi Shrestha from Tiger Tops.
Deepak Pokhrel, one of the event organizers, emphasized the importance of collaboration in the hospitality industry, highlighting that the program fostered strong relationships between association members while focusing on the development of marketing, public relations, and communication strategies. He added, “The main highlight of the program was the extensive discussion on future collaboration opportunities among members. We plan to conduct the next program in Chitwan even more effectively.”
Pradeep Poudel from Hotel Yellow Pagoda also emphasized the significance of sales and marketing in the hospitality industry, noting that the event aimed to attract new members and empower their roles in promoting tourism in Nepal. He said, “With over 200 members, this event was not only a celebration of success but also a significant opportunity to contribute to the progress of Nepal’s tourism industry. Our objective is to promote Nepal’s tourism through the association and focus on service and quality.”
Laxmi Shrestha from Tiger Tops shared that the association continues to unify professionals from the tourism and hospitality sectors. “We started with a small group of members, but today we have grown to over 200 members. Our primary objective is to contribute collectively to the long-term development of Nepal’s tourism and hospitality sectors. In addition to institutional growth, we have been organizing events in different parts of the country, which help uncover unique hospitality services and tourism potential,” she said while enjoying a boat ride on Indrasarovar Lake.
She also invited interested business owners to join the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association of Nepal, emphasizing that it would help create more business opportunities.
The first anniversary celebration of the association took place last year at Tapesh Resort in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu.
HSMAN serves as the umbrella organization for sales and marketing representatives from five-star to non-star hotels across Nepal, playing a significant role in the promotion of the country’s hotel industry and tourism sector.
