Tibet Airlines to Resume Regular Flights from China to Kathmandu
Tibet Airlines is set to resume regular flights from Xi’an, China to Kathmandu, Nepal after a hiatus of three years. The Nepal Civil Aviation Authority has informed that the airline will commence regular flights from Thursday (July 13).
Tibet Airlines will operate two flights every Tuesday and Thursday on the Xi’an-Kathmandu-Xi’an route. As per the authority, the airline had previously operated regular chartered flights between Chengdu and Kathmandu before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently, Nepal is already receiving regular flights from China, including Air China and Sichuan Airlines from Chengdu, China Southern Airlines from Guangzhou, China Eastern Airlines from Kunming, and Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong.
Additionally, Himalaya Airlines has been operating flights from Kathmandu to Beijing. With the addition of Tibet Airlines, the number of airlines providing direct services to China will increase to seven.
